Pretty Girls Book Review
This is the most disturbing book that I have read till now.
This is an interesting read. The plot is amazing. This is the book you will not want to put down but you will because of the disturbing details of the crime.
You’ll get 3 POVs- two sisters Lydia and Claire and the third one is of their dad, which is through the letters that he has written to the missing daughter Julia. He has written his grief and memories he had with Julia which is heart-wrenching to read.
All the characters seemed real, even if they are the worst kind of people you can think like yeah this type of person can exist in real life too.
The relationship between Claire and Lydia also felt real. Claire is the youngest so she has this thing of leaning on other people because this is how she’s used to being treated in her house.
This is a serial killer type of story. It has shown horrible things a human or a psychopath can do that an average human being can’t even think of well the author thought of that which is amazing imagination.
This kind of thing happens in real life. They are horrible. But this is the next level of horrible crimes. It’s hard to read this book in one sitting cause you’ll want to take a break while reading the descriptions of the crimes.
I enjoyed reading this book. It’s a long story with around 500-600 pages. The major twist was revealed in the first half then there are other small twists and turns.
The book starts with a fast pace then in between it got a little boring or tiring just a little bit because maybe it was too long to read.
After the major revelation, many things weren’t left but still, it was enjoyable and intriguing and you’ll want to know how this ends because of all the horrible crime details that you’ll come across while reading.
There are many triggering things don’t read this one if you if you’re sensitive to certain things. Either you should not read this or think thrice before reading this as there are gore descriptions of some triggering crimes.
If you want to read a high-level Psychological crime thriller then you should read this one. It’s very interesting to read. I don’t know if using enjoyable read is the right word for this because of the crimes shown in this book but still, you’ll enjoy reading the story.
What I Didn’t Like About Pretty Girls Book
It made me feel a little bored between the pages. Especially some details of their past life.
Almost 100 pages out of 500-600 were details of the horrible crime which were quite repetitive.
The major revelation was way too earlier of course without that the story won’t go ahead but that made that took away the surprise element that most of the readers want in the second half of the book.
What I Like About Pretty Girls Book
Even though the major revelation was done in the first half of the book it still kept me going till the end.
All the characters felt like real people. Even though they are the worst kind of people. This is one of the important things in any fiction book.
It also shows how the youngest child in the family has this thing to lean on others. Which made the relationship between the sisters feel real.
