Behind Those Walls – Poetry by Prakriti Kajaria

Her eyes holds many stories,
But she hides them well.
She has build walls around her for years.
No one has succeeded at breaking them.
She is afraid of judgement.
What if they hate her,
If they see through those walls.
She wants to be loved,
But she is afraid of getting hurt.
Her story is hidden behind those walls.
Once you break it,
You will find all she hides.
Is there any love that doesn’t hurt?
That’s all she wants.

★—Here love not just means just one kind of love but every type and aspect of it…..♡

— Walls are a kind of protective shield we build around ourselves so that we don’t get hurt by others. We only let those people pass through, who show us love and are very close to us(Sometimes not even to them).
Fear of what other people think when they look at us or if they will (still) love us even after seeing through those walls — our dark thoughts.

This is a bit related to the previous poem that I shared. Which was about negative thoughts that make us anxious and confused.

Negative thoughts that makes you feel/think that if you’ll ever be loved or that you will get hurt by love. And that makes you more sad and negative.-
