Embers – Poetry by Prakriti Kajaria

Whispers of your name dances all around,
Does mine even fleet across your mind?
Do you ever crave for me,
The way a teardrop longs to be free?

The flow of words pause for days,
A space I used to break away.
A fortress I constructed, a barrier for my heart,
You reappeared, tearing worlds apart.

My love, a yearning so deep,
A smoldering ember refusing to sleep.
I tried to fight the desire,
Yet the embers of longing still transpire.

I wonder if your heart harbors a flame,
A flicker that whispers my name.
I wonder if you could ever love me,
With a heart where unspoken feelings agree

★—Title:- Embers …..♡🤎✨

— This poem captures the vulnerability of yearning for someone who might not feel the same way.
— Themes – Unrequited love, Yearning, Longing, Vulnerability, Hope.—゚

The poem opens with unanswered questions, revealing unrequited love. Then yearning and vulnerability show the person’s longing for a connection that may not exist. Yet, a flicker of hope still remains seeking reciprocation of feeling. Longing can be seen throughout the poem. – 💫
