Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone Book Review
This book is amazing. The story and the way it is written is interesting and not so common. It also has snowy and atmospheric vibes which makes it an amazing winter read.
The Narrator and his family are doing a reunion in a ski resort and an unidentified dead body is found. And soon one of them is also found dead.
The whole book is from Ernest the narrator’s perspective. He talks about his family members – his brother, father, mother, wife, stepsister, stepfather, uncle, aunt, and himself. They all have killed someone. We’ll read about all of them and also about the present situation where there’s an unidentified dead body is found.
All the characters are interesting and have their own stuff going on. They all are trying to do something. But still, everything thing that’s in this book is related to the main story. The author is not wasting your time with unnecessary details which is best.
The story and writing both are amazing. But the most interesting thing about the book is the writing. The narrator directly addresses readers. Yes, he will directly talk to you.
The narrator has disclosed what you can expect from the story in the beginning. Then In the middle of the story, he’ll directly address you and say “I said this thing will happen so I’m honest” something like this. He is literally “I told you” so person with you. It’s very fun to read.
Everything in the story is linked and it is done so well. There are many layers to the story. If you guessed one thing still there will be many things you’ll not be able to guess.
It’s an engaging read. The twists in the end were very unexpected. You might guess most things but the ending twist is something you’ll not expect. You can have some doubts but you’ll not be able to point that thing out until it’s revealed.
I’ll recommend this book to everyone. Especially those who most of the time end up guessing the twists of suspense-thriller books. Also if you want to read a new writing style where the narrator directly addresses you then do read it.
