Onsra – Poetry by Prakriti Kajaria

Leaving you hurts same as loving you
Never knew what love felt like untill you
Love, altruism—such pretty words
But I’m the one torn by your words
Never knew what hurting was until you
Maybe it’s a phase, maybe it’s you
Sometimes I wish for miracle
But reality of inevitable creeps in
Onsra that I can’t avoid
The bitterness of the sweet love
We could have been eternal
If you would’ve been a giver
Instead of taker just for once.

~I wrote this thinking I’d share it as it was coming out nice and because of that, this one took me more than an hour and a half.

I was trying to do a rhyme scheme at first which restricted me from writing what I intended to. Then in the middle, I dropped that idea and wrote what I wanted to without any restrictions.
