About It Ends With Us Book

Book has a dual timeline, the past things are described through the journal that Lily has written throughout her childhood and teenage life.

The whole book is from Lily’s POV(point of view)

It sounds like a love triangle book but it is so much more than that.

There is a sequel to this book named ‘IT STARTS WITH US‘ which is coming up this October. The sequel has two POVs.

There’s going to be a movie in this book.

There is an ending note in this book that Colleen Hoover has written for the readers. It’ll make you emotional. (Note has a Spoiler so don’t read it before you read the book)

Trigger warning⚠️–  Domestic Violence, Suicide mentioned, Attempted Rape.

If you want a roller coaster ride of emotions then just take this book and start reading. Before moving further let’s take a look at the introduction of the characters and the Summary/Plot of the book.

It Ends With Us Summary

Lily is ambitious. Lily had a hard childhood but she never gave up on the better life that she wants. She moves to Boston and started her own business. She met a guy named Ryle Kincaid, a neurosurgeon.

Ryle is successful, ambitious, a little arrogant, sensitive, and has a soft spot for Lily. He is not ready for any relationships. Both of them want different things in life. But Lily was an exception to his ‘no dating’ rule.

Lily was overwhelmed by her new relationship so do her thoughts of her past. Atlas Corrigan, a homeless boy whom she met during her teenage life and was also her first love. Atlas is kind-hearted and really protective of Lily. He just wants her to be safe. For some reason, they both lost contact with each other. Now Atlas reappears in her life and but she is in a relationship with Ryle.

It Ends With Us Review

It’s a romance novel but if I have to give it a particular category then I’ll give it heartbreaking. It has a happy ending but still, it’s heartbreaking.

The way Colleen Hoover has described Ryle Kincaid – a perfect guy or dream man that a girl wants to date. So it’s really hard to choose between both of them but I personally like Atlas Corrigan. Well, you will also like him after reading the book.

Lily’s character is amazing in the way she holds on and stayed strong during difficult times. The other characters in the book like their friends and family everyone have different personalities. That made the story feel so real.

Most romance novels don’t give you lessons or something to think about but this one gives you that valuable lesson. I like this book more than any other romance I have read till now because this has something more realistic and gives you an ending that was needed.

At first, I thought it will be a typical love triangle but it was not. There’s so much going on in the story that it did not give that love triangle vibe.

Once you start reading it you will want to finish it. To be honest, when I started reading this I wanted to finish it I wanted to know the ending but at the same time, I just didn’t want it to end.

If you want to cry read this book. It will make you feel happy it will make you smile it will make you cry.

The whole book is emotional but when I was reading the ending note that Colleen Hoover has written. It was overwhelming to read. It says that many of the incidents in the book are inspired by real events. Lily’s really character is inspired by her mom.

When I finished the book I came across the news of its sequel and I’m eagerly waiting for the sequel to release. So that I can read it. I want to read Atlas’s POV just want to know what’s going on in his mind.

What I Loved About The book

The book is beautifully written.

It’s not just these three characters in the book. I’m happy that there were other characters in the book who just did not exist but had a role.

I have so many favorite lines in this book.

The way Colleen Hoover has described every character. They all feel so real.
