Synopsis of Twisted Games
She can never be his…but he’s taking her anyway.
Stoic, broody, and arrogant, elite bodyguard Rhys Larsen has two rules: 1) Protect his clients at all costs 2) Do not become emotionally involved. Ever. He has never once been tempted to break those rules…until her. Bridget von Ascheberg.
A princess with a stubborn streak that matches his own and a hidden fire that reduces his rules to ash. She’s nothing he expected and everything he never knew he needed.
Day by day, inch by inch, she breaks down his defenses until he’s faced with a truth he can no longer deny: he swore an oath to protect her, but all he wants is to ruin her. Take her. Because she’s his. His princess. His forbidden fruit. His every depraved fantasy.
Regal, strong-willed, and bound by the chains of duty, Princess Bridget
dreams of the freedom to live and love as she chooses.
But when her brother abdicates, she’s suddenly faced with the prospect of a loveless, politically expedient marriage, and a throne she never wanted. And as she navigates the intricacies—and treacheries—of her new role, she must also hide her desire for a man she can’t have. Her bodyguard. Her protector. Her ultimate ruin.
Unexpected and forbidden, theirs is a love that could destroy a kingdom and doom them both.

Twisted Games Book Review
The first book of the series (Twisted Love) was enjoyable and I was wanting to read the second one because of course it’s about a literal princess and her story with a bodyguard.
The story between Bridget and Rhys starts with a slow burn which has sexual tension from the beginning but as the story progresses things start to get hot. Rhys’s bossy behavior at the start caused a lot of snapping and tension between the two. It was fun to read.
Bridget is very impressive in the book she’s going to become a Queen which is a big challenge for her. She has to learn all the things a Queen must know in a short time span and she is also fighting for her love at the same time. She is definitely one of the strong Female Characters.
Rhys on the other hand was good but not that impressive. His character was boring most of the time but still exciting at a few stages. Still, he is definitely a hot fictional man.
Bridget really took the limelight in this book because the whole story was revolving around her for more than half of the book. Meanwhile, Rhys just had sad past life which made me connect to his character.
The time jump was weird. The tension between both them was present from the very beginning then how can nothing happen between them for a year? There has to be something. A lot can happen in the span of a week but this is literally a year time jump. The time jump makes it like we missed the development of the relationship between them.
I missed her girl best friends. I loved her bond in the first book but that was missing from this one. After reading two books in this series I like Jules Ambrose. She is funny. Her banter and snapping with Josh Chen are hilarious I loved that.
The revelation of the family was good. I had a suspicion and was kind of expected about the father but not the brother.
The story has better development than the first book. The FMC Bridget in this one was different from Ava in Twisted Love. I really enjoyed reading this one.
Why You Should Read Twisted Games
Do you love the forbidden love between Royal Princess and her Bodyguard trope? read this one.
Want to and love to read spicy books? You won’t be disappointed.
If you like to read books that have alpha-possessive main male characters then you’ll love this. As the MMC gets jealous of other men who get close to her.
Do you like strong FMC? Bridget handles every situation very smartly. She is ready to take on any challenges without others’ help.
My Final Thoughts
I enjoyed Twisted Games(2) book more than Twisted Love(1). The first book confused me about if I like it or not. But this book didn’t confuse me.
What I Didn’t Like
Huge Time jump this time was the same as the previous book. This is disappointing for me because I want to know everything about how relationships developed between them over these years.
Rhys Larsen is boring most of the time. He just has just his past story and his present revolves around Bridget.
Bridget felt like a real princess meanwhile Rhys didn’t feel like a real person he was just a fictional character. He was hard to imagine as a real person.
What I Liked
I loved seeing Bridget von Ascheberg and Rhys Larsen together. Their dynamic was enjoyable. Words Rhys says to her when she was in all the chaos were really heart-touching.
The snapping and tension between them in the starting were very enjoyable and fun to read.
I’m liking Christian Harper already. Even though he didn’t have many scenes in this one. I can’t wait to read Twisted Lies(4th book).
I love strong FMC which was missing in the first book. Bridget was not just a sweet royal princess. She is literally a Queen. Not just because of the crown but her Queen personality.
